History of The Madden Tourney: Part 1

The 1st Annual Madden Tournament

2004 marked the year of many spectacular events in our world. In 2004 NASA landed their MER-B project on Mars, Lance Armstrong won his record 6th straight Tour De France, Scientists in South Korea cloned 30 human embryos, Boston pulled off the biggest sports upset in history and won their first World Series since 1918, the largest Earthquake since 1964 struck Indonesia setting off terrorizing tsunamis, and who could forget the very first of many Madden Tournaments kicking off in a hot New Jersey summer.

Who could really forget the very first one? Well probably almost everyone; I even had a very hard time remembering how it went down. But of course I fished up a few old notebooks from around the house and found the results from the ancient tourney. The first tournament of all tournaments started with only 8 players and no money involved at all. I guess you could say it was very simple, yet very much as competitive as anything else of the sort. The 8 entrants saw the likes of Billy, Jimmy, Dave, Kevin, Josh, Phil, Mike Moron, and Joey Catena taking the couch for the quickest Madden Tournament to date. It was done in less than a day as the finals saw the heated Ravens-Redskins rivalry taken to a whole nother level. The winner's bracket final saw Billy v.s. Jimmy; as Billy took on and beat Joey Catena and Dave, as Jimmy faced and also defeated Kevin and then Phil. Jimmy defeated Billy in the winner's final, which lead to the start of a brother v.s. brother rivalry that still lives to this day, one that will more than likely never die. In the loser's bracket after reeling from a first round loss to Phil, Kevin won out to get to Billy in the loser's bracket final. Yet Billy would pull away and go on to attempt to take down the Jimmaster powerhouse.

Billy, playing with the defensively prided Ravens would come out of the losers bracket to give the Redskinned Jimmy a scare in the final two games. Billy and the Ravens beat Jimmy in the first game, leading to a one game finale for all the Madden Marbles. Jimmy would come out of the battle victorious in his own house. Yet other memories still exist with possibly the same magnitude of Jimmy tourney victory. Who could forget the infamous boxing matches in Jimmy's basement between Mike Moron and Kevin? The first Madden tournament could most certainly be considered a huge success considering what it has lead to today. A tree doesn't just grow in one day everything takes time. And I guess the Madden 2005 Tourney was just the planting of the seeds for what the Madden Tourney has become and the heights it will grow to one day.

Early Madden 10 Tourney News

NFL Madden 2010 is set to be released a month from today on August 14th, 2009. This year marks the 6th years anniversary of the Madden Tournament and as always there will be new entrants as the tournament grows and grows. Last year's tourney had a total of 29 participants that came and went. As of now there are 27 definite participants in the 2010 tourney and we hope to grab 5 more to make it a full 32.
The 2009 Madden Tourney saw new entrants such as Kesack, "The Kid" Dave Dicrisi, Frank Crupi, Chris Ziomek, Petey Zeoli, TJ (Porta's Cousin) who missed Aunt Suzy's funeral for the tournament, and who could forget "Bad News" Tony. The 2009 Tourney had many memories. Who could forget the NWO takeover attempt of the ALLIANCE, the Pacillo Strategy, and the eventual third championship win for Billy.

The new entrants so far of 2010 include a cast of interesting characters.

-Travis: The Steelers fan himself will be making his way into the tourney this year, which is sure to be a show in it of itself.

-Danny Nahra & Alex Nahra: The Brothers Nahra decide they want a piece of the Madden action and have also offered up their house for the tourney, a great gesture by them.

-Dan O'neil: This entrant is sure to make an impact in the trash talking department of the Madden Tourney.

All Pro Fantasy Football
League Kicks Off

The 2009 All Pro Fantasy season is on the verge of starting. When the end of summer comes around two events that are always guaranteed is the annual Madden Tournament and the All Pro fantasy Football Draft. Both events entering their sixth year of existence with many more years projected to come. The 2008 All Pro Season came to a close with a new team on top for the second year in a row. Last years championship game in week 16 saw the Mullet Mafia face off with another new face to a championship game the Romosapiens. The Mullet Mafia would go on to defeat Phil's powerhouse with ease in a 34 point victory.
The end of the 2008 season in December of 2008 only started the countdown of days remaining until the 2009 Draft. This years Draft and drafts of the future will be based on a system I came up with in the middle of last season which was agreed on by a majority of the league. The order of All Pro's 6th annual Draft is based on 3 categories, which include regular season standings, playoff results, and total points scored.

Week 7 Review & Stock Up/Stock Down

Week 7 Review

In probably the most crazed week of the fantasy season so far, there would be three games decided by five points or less. The week could have been considered one of the biggest screw jobs in fantasy football history if not for the late game heroics of some players on a few teams. A trade was made between Josh (Godzillas) and Gabe (Crotch Waffles), which included Steven Jackson, Derek Anderson, Brian Griese, and Larry Johnson. Although proposed and accepted prior to week 8, due to the protest rule of 2 days, which allows myself to confer with my associates Mr. Davis Rayburn and Mr. Semaj Ignag the trade window on Yahoo said the trade would not be viable in their lineups until week 8.

Even though it said that it wouldn't go through until week 8, which I was not aware of, I was able to consult my associates early enough on Sunday to allow the trade to go through, and our Yahoo affiliate wiring the proposal through to be viable for week 7. So Gabe who was oblivious to this act (Even though everyone including Riggy himself should check their lineups immediately prior to the start of Sunday's games) lost a starting RB and Josh started Steven Jackson. I was also oblivious to the problem until later that night due to me traveling toughest Virginia on Sunday.

Yet in the end everything worked out. Josh should have lost, and he did. Gabe should have won and he won. So that is settled, now on to some more simple fantasy talk.

Following a competitive week 6, the standings left the Romosapiens on top of the leader board at (5-1), the Godzillas right behind him in points also at (5-1). There was then 5 teams all at the record of (3-3) and with this Week 7's matchups it was sure to split up in two different ways, winners and losers.

Game of the Week

108

Final

113

In a game that affected the two main topics of week (the "Trade" & the [3-3] scramble) the Crotch Waffles made another small step towards almost perfect. With only one Running back and Roy Williams, recently given to the Dallas Football franchise, scoring a big goose egg. Gabe took huge chance at this point in the season by starting not so fantasy friendly "THE" Chad Pennington. The pay off though was a lot more than the latter and Gabe got the most important win for his struggling team so far this season.

Chad scored a total of (16) fantasy points throwing an above Chad average 295 yards in the air with a TD. On the other side of the coin, In Flames needed a win to break off of a .500 record. They got great games from WR Andre Johnson (11 Rec. 141 yds) and "Big" Ben (2 Tds. 216 yds). It was not enough though to beat the 8-player team that Gabe put out this week. It was indeed one small step for Gabe, one giant step for the Crotch Waffles!

Other Games of Week 7:

107

Final

103

There is only two ways the Godzillas can go, or they could go nowhere at all. In Josh's case he went nowhere or in other terms his stock has stayed the same following a week 7, (4) point loss to the Elastic Warriors. If it were not for a late trade for Steven Jackson, Josh would have not even been close in this game, and indeed would have the worst score of the week. Yet Steven Jackson scored 39 fantasy points and kept the Godzillas in it until the end. The Elastic Warriors are now officially on a roll. After starting out (0-3) and soaking in the shame of drafting Tom Brady, the Warriors have won 3 out of their last 4 against the likes of the notable teams; Jimmasters and Godzillas.

95

Final

90

Both teams at (3-3), with Petey having the latter in total points matched up for a close one to say the least. The ALLIANCE got major help this week from the likes of RB Adrian Peterson and much touted (at the All Pro draft) Thomas Jones. But to quote DAVE, "Only Billy's Defense could give up 41 points and still score (23) fantasy points", that defense being Chicago. A high scoring Norfolk team had an off week in week 7 giving the ALLIANCE the opening and they indeed took it. Key players for him this week were Clinton Portis and Buffalo WR Lee Evans, but they were not key enough. This game separated the [3-3] scramble leaving the ALLIANCE in 4th place and Norfolk-in-Chance in 5th place.

100

Final

132

Two teams that are always good year after year squared off in this fantasy bout. Yet this year, only one team is considered a top team since the Eggrolls are struggling terribly. Although Randy Moss and Chris Johnson finally stepped up for Kevin both having big weeks, Brett Favre and company getting negative points did not push them in the right direction. Simply put, the Romosapiens have been consistent in their scoring. All their players put up good numbers and that’s why they won this week, and that is why they won 5 times prior to week 7 as well.

133

Final

105

Jimmy still declares himself as "the best" yet he went down for the 4th time this season in week 7. The power of the Mullet was much too powerful for any master of any sort to overcome. The Jimmasters did have a few big scorers in Dominic Rhodes and co., but the Mafia of Mullets proved to be an immovable object. The Mafia was lead by an unlikely source of points in (35) by Mewelde Moore. Special Teams also proved to be great for Dave, with his Kicker and special teams unit scoring 21 points this week.

Stock Up/Stock Down

Stock Up:

The Elastic Warriors- The warriors lost their first three and their best player, yet they hung in there and won the last 3 of 4. They just came off an all-important regular season win against Josh and his Godzillas. The Catena ahs also been holding back on total moves this year, which could be the different between missing or getting a playoff berth in our 5th All Pro Season.

Stock Same:

Godzillas: Josh had a terrible week, losing to a 2-4 Catena team, but he did make a great move giving up wife beater Larry Johnson for an all of a sudden explosive Steven Jackson. Josh needs a win in week 8 though, considering there are to (4-3) teams right behind him in the standings.

Stock Down:

Chinese Eggrolls: After starting off 2-0, the Eggrolls looked to become a powerful force in the league for yet another league. But since, have lost 5 straight and things aren't looking good for Kevin's playoff hopes. He also arguably ahs the toughest schedule the rest of the way, and it could mean the 1st time in 5 years that the Eggrolls do not make the playoffs.

Weeks 4-6 Review and Mid-Season Notes

Week 4 Review

Double Games of the Week

132

Final

135

In another close bout, the completely Defeated "Elastic Warriors" stretched far enough to out Jim the Jimmasters. It was a very tough loss, the second in a row for the Jimmasters. All of his players showed up and put in a good performance, but The Elastic Warriors put in a great performance top the Jimmasters. Although the Warriors got very poor performances from QB J.T. O'Sullivan and Rookie Oakland RB Darren McFadden, they made up for it with solid points from 5 more players, highlighted by a spectacular game from Laveranues Coles who had 3 TD Receptions and (32) fantasy points to make the Jimmasters look like Jimposers.

102

Final

100

The closest game of Week 4 came in a low scoring 102-100 win for the ALLIANCE. At the time the Romosapiens were (3-0) and in first place outright, but the (2-1) ALLIANCE proved to break the Romosapiens' streak. Owner Phil's only player to help out a lot week 4 was QB Tony Romo, who scored 28 fantasy points, which was the most of both team's players. But the ALLIANCE fought back hard with 3 key players in Adrian Peterson (23), Jamal Lewis (15), and Star WR Greg Jennings who had a team high (24) points to lead the ALIANCE to victory with only 9 players.

Other Games of Week 4:

120

Final

144

The Godzillas put this one away early with a phenomenal game from first rounder RB Larry Johnson. This extended the Godzillas streak of 5 games as of now, to 3 wins in a row at the time. The Mullet Mafia put up a good fight, but was basically just outscored in this one.

144

Final

127

Another shootout of high scorers in week 4, a matchup between one win In Flames and one loss Chinese Eggrolls, left both teams at an even .500 after it was all over. Even with In Flames getting single digits from 3 players and a single point from one player, he made up for it with 4 players scoring 20 plus points. L.T. and a crafty yet gritty Buffalo defense lead In Flames to 144 points and a 17 point victory over the Eggrolls. This loss was the second for owner Kevin, and only snowballed on and on.

105

Final

145

Plain and simple, Norfolk-in-chance scored the most of any team this week to really break out as a top contender in the All Pro League this year. Although it was against a winless Crotch Waffle and his team of Crotch Waffles, still a very impressive win nonetheless.

Week 5 Review

Double Games of the Week:

112

Final

116

The momentous Norfolk team looked to defeat an All Pro 2 time champion titan and failed. The Godzaillas got their biggest win of the season against Norfolk-in-Chance. Norfolk didn't exactly have a good performance, averaging 11.2 points per player, but the Godzillas stuck in there even after getting shitty games out of Larry Johnson and others. This might turn out to be the most pivotal game of the entire fantasy season considering it may be the make or break for Petey's playoff chances and Josh's playoff bye/first place situation.

114

Final

117

A big early season scare for the Romosapiens, as In Flames had an extended early lead on the Romosapiens. Owner Phil, coming off a week 4 loss, did not panic though, and hoped for his team to perform to recent expectations. The Romosapiens, aka Dallas Cowboys were down to a winless Cincinnati Bengal team throughout most of Sunday’s game. And Felix Jones scoring for Dallas did not help the Romosapiens one bit, but luckily the Boys and the Sapiens pulled out a W both ways. In Flames got big scores from the likes of RB Reggie Bush and WR Andre Johnson, but the Sapiens toughed things out, and got just enough points to defeat the In Flames threat, getting their 4th win this season and giving In Flames their 3rd loss of the season.

Other Games of Week 5:

104

Final

118

This one was somewhat close throughout. A (3-1) ALLIANCE team went in confident as well as the streaking Jimmasters went in hopeful. In the end though, The Jimmasters got big performances from their big time players, while the ALLIANCE's star players came up very short. AP scored only (4) points for the ALLIANCE while the Jimmasters' Roddy White scored (23) to seal the deal this week.

129

Final

154

In a not-so star-studded battle between the worst and second to worst, the second to worst came out on top for their second win in as many weeks. Dropping the high score of the week, giving the Waffles (originating from the crotch area) their 5th loss in a row, which annoyed the Crotch Waffle himself a lot.

131

Final

103

P.S. i am dave and P.S. next time you come to The Mafia of Mullets house, ask for the Chinese Eggroll platter because there are being served up fried. That’s exactly what the Mullet Mafia did to Kevin's team in week 5, they fried them plain and simply. The Mafia served up the Eggrolls' 3rd loss in a row as well as on the season, and sent them streaking going in to week 6.

Week 6 Review

96

Final

114

In a week dominated by total dominance of one team over the opposition, a week of blowouts, this week's game of the week goes to the ALLIANCE-Crotch Waffle game solely because it was the Crotch Waffles first win of the season after 5 losses to start the All Pro Season. This was also the closest game of week 6. The ALLIANCE would have been in very good shape, had it not been for many miscues and errors on their part. Fumbles, interceptions, and many turnovers of their players caused the Crotch Waffles to pull out the unlikely victory over an ALLIANCE team that has slowly been falling apart.

Other games of Week 6:

84

Final

122

Even with his Defensive Unit scoring, or better put losing (4) points for the Godzillas, they still had an easy go of things in week 6. The Chinese Eggrolls, not exactly up to shape, get their 4th loss in a row this week as they fall to the Godzillas and (2-4) on the season. The Joshinator aka Josharoo aka Josh the Messiah of Fantasy Football aka leader of the Chinese/Cuban National Committee of the United States aka Josh Seo got out to an early start in this one making very good matchup decisions to out score the Eggrolls by 38 big points.

104

Final

87

The Jimmaster claims he is the best, but In Flames with their Celebrity Apprentice Tony Danza, claim otherwise. Andre Johnson again saved In Flames from a terrible defeat scoring (29) total points. This proved to be the difference in this game, in which the Jimmasters failed to really put up the best effort scoring only 87 points. Sometimes it doesn’t really matter if you win or lose, but your definitely going to lose if you don't try your hardest.

157

Final

114

Blowout City, plain and simple. Norfolk-in-Chance, who make it such a difficult task for me to type their name, outscore and blowout the Elastic Warriors by a lot of points. This was a much-needed win for Norfolk following their tough loss against the Joshinator and his Godzillas this past week. It now puts them in the top contenders of the league, and with the recent scoring outburst, they now sit at 3-3 in 3rd place with the most points in the entire league. They might even have more points than The Catena and Crotch Waffle combined, that’s how many points they have right now.

87

Final

127

If you click on this final, you shall look and laugh at Dave's players, who only scored in the single digits with 7 of his players including one scoring nothing at all. The first place Romosapiens took the opportunity for an easy W and seized it with yet another solid week of Dallas Cowboy player performances.

Mid-Season Notes

1. The most moves of the season so far, does not in fact belong to the Catena and his Elastic Warriors. It goes to the Godzillas at 47 and it seems to be working while they sit a few points out of first place. Catena’s moves sit at half of Josh's at 24.

2. The longest streak so far has been a current 5 Win streak for Josh, and a first 5 game losing streak that Gabe finally broke this past week. Also former two-time runner up Kevin and his Eggrolls, won two in a row to start the season, but since then ahs lost 4 tough ones in a row.

3. Josh is in 2nd place at (5-1) even with the third lowest points in the league at (681).

4. PJ was able to move up in the rankings at one point after a loss, due to a technicality where there was a perfect amount of losses of competitors in front of him as well as their points scored.

5. Kevin's smack-talk still remains at a retarded state.

6. The league is at an all time low this year in the amount of post on the message board.

7. This season there has been more trades rejected than the past 4 years of accepted trades.

8. Last Year's champion is in last place at (1-5) and is sure to miss the playoffs unless a miracle or some divine intervention.

WEEK 3 Review

GAME OF THE WEEK

97

Match
Up

96

Every year there is one game with so much tension and animosity that eventually blows up by Monday Night's game. That of course is the Eggrolls v.s. the ALLIANCE, it’s the ALLIANCE v.s. the NWO, brother v.s. brother, Billy v.s. Kevin, and there of course must be a winner.

A little history lesson, in the past 4 years, there has been 10 matchups between the Chinese Eggrolls and the ALLIANCE, which includes two key playoff games. In 2004, the ALLIANCE won the first game in All Pro history by a score of 129-112. The Eggrolls then went on to win their second regular season matchup and then roll over the ALLIANCE in the semi's of the playoffs that year. In 2005, the Eggrolls won both regular season games, yet the ALLIANCE got the last laugh defeated the Eggrolls in the 1st round of the playoffs that year. In 2006, they split regular season again, with owner Kevin winning the first game by a point and owner Billy blowing the Eggrolls out the second game by a difference of 50+ points. Then this past year [2007] they split once again. This left the all time record with the Eggrolls having 6 total wins and the ALLIANCE with only 4.

Heading into the first season and 11th all time matchup between the two it was sure to be something worth keeping your eye on. Though it wound up being the lowest scoring game of the week, it damn sure was the closest and most exciting game of the week. Sunday was a slow day for both teams. The ALLIANCE had their biggest scorer in Jay Cutler, who threw for 3 Td's and had a good amount of yards through the air. On the other side of the table, the Eggrolls got their largest portion of scoring from an unlikely source in kicker Olindo Mare who had 20 fantasy points this week.

As always, the most exciting game usually comes down to the final NFL game of the week, but this one came down to the final seconds of the final game. Heading into Monday Night's Jets-Chargers game, the ALLIANCE was leading by 9 points and had two of Gang Greens Offensive Unit, while the Eggrolls were depending on San Diego QB Philip Rivers.

It seemed as if the Eggrolls had an easy win throughout the first half, as Rivers [3 TD, 1 INT, 250 Yds] lead the San Diego faithful down the field for 3 consecutive scores through the air. By the end of the 3rd quarter though, the fantasy score told a different story. Although Rivers had racked up 19 fantasy points heading into the 4th quarter, T. Jones threw up a scrawny 2 points, while Stuckey had a few receptions for a few points, which kept the ALLIANCE in the game. With the ALLIANCE down 9 points, Brett Favre found Stuckey on 3 consecutive plays, with the 3rd one being a charm in the end zone. This gave the ALLIANCE a 1-point lead.

On the very next Charger possession, Rivers audibled into a spread formation and found a receiver downfield, to give the Eggrolls a two point lead of their own again, at 96-94. With only 2 minutes left on the clock, owner Kevin was celebrating...celebrating a little pre-maturely...

With only a minute left in the game, backup Jets QB connected to Stuckey on two catch and runs to put the ALLIANCE back up by a single point and give them the "buzzer beater" win.

This decision moves the ALLIANCE to 2-1 and 4th place in the standings, it is the first loss for the Chinese Eggrolls and they will sit, also at 2-1, in second place behind the undefeated Romosapiens.

Match
Up

It was a matter of what would beat what. Many all over the world have asked for centuries upon centuries; could fire beat a mullet? Could a mullet beat fire? Who would stand tall if a raging ball of hot flames collided with an Italian group of bad haircuts? Well those unanswered questions were put to sleep and answered this week as In Flames upset a rolling Mullet Mafia team. It could be simply put, as the team who won was a lot more durable than the other. In Flames had their best RB perform well while injured, Ladanian Tomlinson scored 17 points, but on the other hand, Brian Westbrook was again injured and left the game with a measly 12 rushing yards. In Flames also got much needed help from constantly producing tailback Reggie Bush, who scored 30 fantasy points this week, burning the bad haircuts right of the Mafia's heads.

128

Match
Up

106

It was said in a preview a few weeks ago, that the Romosapiens success would be based on whether or not Michael Turner of the Atlanta Falcons could keep his week 1 heroics going on throughout the entire season. As of this point, it is looking very good for owner Phil, who saw his two starting halfbacks score in the high 20's in fantasy points this week to lead them to a victory over the Elastic Warriors. The warriors saw a little spark under their newfound QB J.T. O'Sullivan, but it was most definitely not enough to squeak a win by the Romosapiens aka the entire Dallas Cowboy offense. The Romosapiens improve to a perfect 3-0 and are in 1st place, while the Elastic warriors stay winless and remain in 9th place.

134

Match
Up

147

2-0 Jimmasters looked for a third win against a winless Norfolk-in-Chance this week, but were disappointed in the process. This week's matchup between the two, was decided by who made the better sit/start decisions and that happened to be Norfolk-in-Chance. A good start in Kurt Warner really saved the Jimmasters from embarrassment this week scoring 17 points compared to BIG BEN's -3 points total. Yet Roddy white and Marvin Harrison of the Jimmasters were left to ponder themselves on the bench this week and it proved to be a big difference. Norfolk got big numbers from their top 3 players, in Drewn Brees (29), Frank Gore (25), and Brandon Marshall (27). The Jimmasters fall of the radar a bit after this week and fall into the mix with 4 other [2-1] teams. Norfolk-in-Chance looks to bounce off another win and keep their momentum going in to Week 4.

112

Match
Up

130

It seemed like a very even matchup going into week 3, and it was exactly that with the exception of one player and that was Cincinnati WR T.J. Houshmanzadeh. Both teams' QB ailed on through their games with single digit scoring, both RB's of the 2 teams were very god, as well as both defenses and kickers, but Josh and the Godzillas had one big receiver do it for him, and that 28 points out of TJ Whosyamama proved to be the exact difference in the game.

Week 2 Review and GOTW

ABOVE PICTORIAL: Terrell Owens crying after a playoff loss to the New York Giants. A lot has changed from 2 weeks before the Super Bowl until Week 2 of the 2008 NFL and All Pro seasons. T.O., Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboys, and most importantly the Romosapiens were not not crying and were most defintiely smiling in pleasure of their team's performance in week 2.

WEEK 2 REVIEW

GAME OF THE WEEK

185

Final

144

The game of Week 2 goes to a Romosapien victory over Norfolk-in-Chance. Norfolk thought they had the win packed up Sunday night scoring 144 points in the week compared to a 75 from the Romosapiens. But no so fast, no one forgot that Phil drafted 6 starters from a Week 2 Monday Night Football team, Dallas Cowboys.

In the most exciting game of the NFL season, Dallas barely pulled off a win over Philadelphia 41-37. In this Monday Night win, Tony Romo and the rest of America's team made Jerry Jones and possibly owner Phil a lot richer in the near future. Romo scoring 25 fantasy points lead an ongoing air strike offense to 3 passing TD's and 300 yards on the catch and run.

Yet the player of the week goes to the Dallas Cowboy Defense. Yes, the Boys gave up 31 points to an offensive juggernaut in Philadelphia, but the gritty Dallas team fought back in the fantasy books for the Romosapiens turning a negative point value in to 26 points in their favor. The defense recorded 4 sacks on mobile QB Donovan McNabb as well as picking up a fumble, and scoring a Special Teams TD.

Norfolk-in-Chance put up a very good fight. Enough to win over 7 teams in the league, but luck of the draw gives Norfolk the big "L". Key players for Norfolk were Washington RB Clinton Portis who scored 23 points, but their most prized option was Brandon Marshall, Top Receiver of the Denver Broncos. Marshall scored 39 points, with career high 18 receptions for 166 yards and a TD. The Romosapiens are now 2-0 and the loss pushes Norfolk-in-Chance's of the playoffs slimmer at 0-2.

Other Games of Week 2

122

Final

179

The projected GOTW turned out to be a runaway win for the Mafia of Mullets. A key component in the Mafia’s win was their most important positions at QB and both RB positions. Eli Manning of the New York Football Giants scored 28 points for the Mullet Mafia against a struggling Rams team. Surprisingly, a thought of as "washed up" Julius Jones of the Seattle Seahawks had a good week at 22 points, and Mr. Dependable Brian Westbrook put in an expected consistent performance with some help from a few rookie Receivers. On the other side of the spectrum the ALLIANCE is playing with fire. For the second week in a row, the ALLIANCE had at least 3 players with very low single digit points, but this week it hurt the ALLIANCE the most. After starting out strong in Week 1, it looks as the ALLIANCE might be getting desperate as they cant lean on Adrian Peterson's shoulders and need to do something good to stop their season from dwindling away early. On the other hand, The Mullet Mafia look to stay undefeated in week 3.

What hurts the most in sports is lost opportunity, and this does indeed include Fantasy sports. The closest yet lowest scoring game of the week ended in owner PJ kicking himself in the ass as a last minute change makes the difference between 0-2 and 1-1. Santana Moss, an undervalued player in fantasy football was scratched from the lineup within the closing minutes of the start Washington's game. The move was obviously intended to help out In Flames, but it didn’t turn out that way as Santana scored 31 fantasy points, for the BENCH. In the battle of the worst, and best of the worst prevailed and that was owner Josh and his Godzillas squeaking by with a lucky W. Look for owner Josh and the Godzillas to take it easy throughout the season in their push for a playoff berth. Owner Josh likes to play it safe, he eats a lot to prevent the risk of ever being hungry, pees sitting down to avoid any type of sprinkling, and oh yeah he plays it the safe way, which has proved to be the winning way in fantasy football.

There is an old quote that says "I deserve respect for the things I didn't do." Well this is untrue in owner Gabe's and the Crotch Waffles' case. You don't deserve any respect when you start 3 players that didn’t even PLAY.... period. The Jimmasters did not score well enough o deserve a win either, but that’s the way things go sometimes and this is another big Week 2 turning point game as it makes the Jimmasters 2-0 and the former 2007 champion CrotchWaffles 0-2.

In what was considered to be a complete blowout, turned out to be another undeserving win, this time in the Chinese Eggrolls case. The Eggrolls scored big in Week 1 and were projected to do so again in Week 2, but only scored 115 points. The heroics of Anquan Boldin had made the major difference in a 17-point win over the Elastic Warriors. Warner to Boldin was an often-repeated statement during Sunday's afternoon game. It doesn't help the Warriors very much to start an ailing rookie Atlanta Falcon QB in Matt Ryan and could prove that any injury can throw your season completely down the shitter. Yet another turning point that makes the Eggrolls perfect and the Warriors perfectly screwed over. An outlook on the Elastic Warriors season is not looking good. They try to "stretch" the limits a bit too much, but Elastic is strong, but in most cases as well as this case, the Elastic can only be stretched so far before it and they snap completely.
